Relays are a wonderful way to get a taste of triathlon! Perhaps you like to ride bikes and run, but really don’t like swimming. You can get another person to do the swim portion!
Maybe you just want to do a fun family relay with your kids or girlfriends and have them each participate in a segment!
Whether two or three participants in the team, you will share one timing chip and all will be marked with the same race number.
The swimmer will begin with the timing chip on their ankle. The person that will be cycling will meet the swimmer in the transition area by the bike and take possession of the chip there. The cyclist rides and returns to the transition area, where the runner waits for the timing chip.
